This is a translation provided for convenience. The binding version is the Turkish text at anonvia.app/kurallar.
Anonvia is a place where people can talk without saying who they are. That gives some people courage — a shy person can send the first message, or tell someone something for the first time.
The same freedom can be abused. So our line is clear:
Anonymity is the right to hide your identity. It is not the right to harm people.
We have zero tolerance for behaviour that breaks these rules.
What is not allowed
Behaviour that harms people
- Harassment and persistence. Continuing to write to someone who does not want it. Trying to reach someone from a new account after being blocked.
- Threats. Frightening someone by threatening harm to them or those close to them.
- Blackmail. Saying "do this or I will share that". Blackmail involving private photographs in particular is a serious crime and is reported directly to the authorities.
- Hate speech. Degrading or targeting people on the basis of race, ethnic origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation or disability.
- Doxxing. Sharing someone's name, address, phone number or workplace without permission.
- Impersonation. Pretending to be someone else.
Prohibited content
- Sexual content and nudity.
- Anything involving the sexual abuse of children. This is not a subject for discussion: the moment we detect it we close the account and pass the records to the authorities.
- Violent imagery. Blood, torture, cruelty to animals.
- Encouraging suicide or self-harm.
- Illegal trade. Drugs, weapons, contraband, forged documents.
- Gambling and betting.
- Passing off someone else's content as your own.
Abusing the system
- Spam. Sending the same message to many people, advertising.
- Fake accounts. Creating accounts in bulk, using bots.
- Attacking the system. Attempting to bypass security or reach other people's data.

What happens when the rules are broken
| Situation | Result |
|---|---|
| Minor breach, first time | Warning, content removed |
| Repeated breach | Temporary suspension |
| Serious breach | Permanent closure without warning |
| Criminal conduct | Permanent closure and referral to the authorities |
Serious breaches: child abuse, death threats, blackmail, terrorist propaganda.
If your account is closed you may not open a new one. We are able to detect accounts opened from the same device.
Reporting
You can report a message, story, post or user:
- Message: press and hold the message → Report. (Or use the menu at the top right of the chat and choose which message.)
- Story: the flag icon at the top right while the story is open.
- Post and user: the menu at the top right → Report.
Reports are anonymous. The person you report cannot see who reported them.
We review reports within 24 hours. Urgent cases (threats, blackmail, child safety) are looked at sooner — you can also write to [email protected] with "URGENT" in the subject.
False and coordinated reporting is itself a breach. Using the reporting system to silence someone will lead to your account being closed.
Protecting yourself
- Do not share personal details. Address, phone number, workplace, school.
- Think before sending private photographs. For view-once media we block screenshots on Android and show a warning on iPhone when one is taken. But the other person can photograph the screen with a second phone — no app can prevent that.
- Do not send money. Not to anyone you do not know, for any reason.
- If someone bothers you, block and report. Do not argue with them.
Finally
Whether Anonvia is a good place depends less on rules than on how the people here behave. Remember that the person on the other side is a real human being — not knowing their name does not change that.
